Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Quiet Closure is a sole proprietorship based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, owned and run by Joshua. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, who else touches it, and when it is deleted. Questions: hello@quietclosure.com.
This policy is not legal advice, and Quiet Closure is not a law firm.
What we collect
- Intake form: what you enter in our intake form after paying, such as your name, email, relationship to the person who died, their name, the accounts you know about, and who is handling the estate.
- Email: the messages you send us and our replies.
- Documents: such as the death certificate and proof of authority (letters testamentary or similar), uploaded through a private, one-client upload link. We never ask for documents as email attachments.
- Payment: you pay online through a secure checkout run by a third-party payment processor. We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Passwords: never. We do not ask for, accept, or use passwords to any account or device.
How we use it
Only to communicate with you, submit requests to platforms through their official deceased-user channels, prepare your closure report, and keep basic business and tax records. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Tally (tally.so) hosts our intake form and stores and forwards your answers to us.
- Zoho Mail hosts our email (hello@quietclosure.com).
- Document storage: a private, access-controlled, encrypted upload and storage service, used only while your engagement is open.
- Payment processor: the third-party processor behind our secure payment links.
- Cloudflare delivers this website.
- The platforms themselves (for example Google, Meta, Apple) receive the documents they require to act on a deceased user's account, and nothing more.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Documents: permanently deleted from our systems 90 days after your final report. We send you written confirmation when that's done.
- Questions or intake forms that don't go ahead: deleted on request, and are never used for marketing.
- Emails, receipts and your closure report: kept as business records for as long as tax and business law requires, then deleted.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@quietclosure.com. We'll reply within one business day and act on it within 30 days.
Website
This site does not use advertising or analytics trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server and security logs.
Children
Our service is for adults handling an estate. We do not knowingly collect information from children, except as it appears in estate documents about the person who died.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Changes won't reduce protections for documents you've already shared.
